Like an abomination. You need to pack them up and send them to me for proper disposal.

Those wheels look amazing. I'm sure they will look even better with tires and mounted on your car.

Hahaha thanks yall! Im looking for a cool tire to put on all four. I want that older polyglas look, but want a reliable tire for everyday use

Is there any kind of old school, raised white letter, fat sidewall tires still manufactured, or are they only repros???

what kind of tire do yall think will look cool? by the way, the wheels are 15x8

Personally, I would put a set of 60 series BFGoodrich Radial T/As on it! They have a solid white letter and the look is timeless. An 8" wheel can take a 275/60/15 on and it looks good. Put some 245/60s on the front. I like the staggard look

I just bought a set of 4 - 70 series T/A's for my boat trailer and these may be the look you want if the 60s are too short.

I've got 275/60/15 on 8 inch wheels on my brand x driver they will fill your fender wells in the rear thats the largest tire that will fit on an 8 inch wheel safely, running 235/70/15 on front they are the same height if not a bit smaller in diameter i would go with the 60 on the front of yours due to lhe large fenderwell.

Talking

looking into different tire sizes. tires are not immediate, the ones i have got plenty of life left, but i want to save them for shows (after i finish recuperating from the fender bender). these will look real nice for everyday driving.

question number three...

air shocks or shackles????

looking for just a little more stance, but not jacked to the moon

Shackles with Lakewood traction bars...

TIMELESS look...

ON A CHEVY!

Having a taller tire on the back, than the front will give it a bit of a rake...and depending on the disparity between the front and rear, will give it a nice stance, IMHO.

thanks for the info yall, still looking into the tires, i like those BFG Radial T/A's
here is a picture of what i am dealing with...

really cool special order hubcaps on small 7 inch wheels with mitchelin tires and a saggy rear. this is proper stance, the leaf springs, bushings, and shocks are like they are supposed to, but the stock stance, with small tires and huge quarters make it look heavy

My though was air shocks to raise the stance a little with the new wheel/tire cobo for a rake while driving daily, then deflate the shocks and put these hubcap wheels. on for shows

any one got any input???

In my opinion..... You are totally on the right track!

What you described is pretty much what I would do. I myself don't like the look of extended shackles. I grew up in Southern California and back in the day, a set of Gabriel Hijacker air shocks was the accepted way to get the lift and support to do what you want to do. And when you don't want to do it.... let some air out!

Be aware air shocks pumped up will get you your rake your lookin for but come with the added down fall of a stiff ride, friends of mine just put in 2" blocks from a four wheel drive lift kit instead. Not sacrificing ride quality and achieving the look you are wanting and still staying away from the goddy look of the extended shakles. As for tires I would stay with a 70 series tire on the front. The same friends are running a 235/70/15 on the front and 275/60/15 on the back both tires are same in height just that the front is narrower and looks alright. just my .02.

Just go with a slightly shorter tire on the front and maybe one size taller than stock tire in the rear (also slightly wider than stock in the rear). This would give you a slight rake and ride would still be good - best of all, it would be reliable. Don't forget a spare in the trunk
