Anyone using 16's or 17"s
What sizes are you using and what size wheels?
I put 17"s on my Challenger 225/50R17 and 255/45R17
wheels are 17x7 and 17x8
Now I'm considering 16"s on my 68 Chrysler 300

Wheels & Tires
I'm restoring a nice 1967 Plymouth Barracuda, have changed 14" Drums (non power) front and rear with the new (power) SSBC disc 11" 5x4.5 Front and 10" 5X4.5 rear. I had to change axels and now I'm facing the problem of size for new wheels and tires, no one seems to know what size wheels to use. I would like to use American Racing Chrome but I need the proper size with or with out offset. Someone please help!!!!!!!!!!
THANK YOU

I restored a 67 barracuda and put 225/60R14 on.
Wasnt terribly happy with the look.
The width was good but the overall diameter seemed a little short.
Unless you are lowering the car I would suggest getting a tire around 25" in O.D.
Check a 225/45R17
There are some great Summer only performance tires available in this size.
My personal favorite the Dunlop z-1 star spec. Unreal grip.

Tire size??
I am restoring my 77 Plymouth Volare Roadrunner and I am planning on getting a set of 16" Cragar Keystone Klassics as these are the same wheels I had on it back in 1977. It came with E70 15" Good Year tires. What size tires can I get that will fit this car and these rims?

I have copied a link for tire size comparison....
The tire sizes from back in the day should translate as follows:
H = 225
G = 215
F = 205
E = 195... if it follows the pattern....
So, your original E70/15 would translate to a 195/70/15.
I am just thinking off the top of my head but, I think that I am correct.... or close to correct.

Good luck.

I've been playing for about 1/2 an hour!
They even show that a 17" x 8" wheel will go onto my '68 Fury...

Be careful with 8" wide wheels in the front. It may require you to adjust the torsion bars to to get the proper clearance. Or a fender lip roll.
Problem can occur while at full lock turn and some compression to the suspension.
