1/4 mile et's 4 383 a body's
i have aussie 69 vf utility & just dropped a mild 383 b motor in it,at the drags on sat- night a bloke had had a sedan(4 door dart basically)with a warm 360 557'' cam mild head work 3800 stall & 3.55.1 locker diff and ran low 12's all night, his last run was 12.23 . he got ok launches no wheel spin ..(i have thermo quad carb mopar purple cam lift? hei dizzy stock heads tri y headers twin 2 1/2 system)iam now thinking of 3000 stall & 3.55 or 3.7 lsd diff.? i need a few more months worth of $$$$ till iam there. Q what times do you guy's run over there???

This is a difficult question to answer. I'm not familiar with your car, and you didn't mention the other's. What is the weight of the two? What is the rear gear of the other with the 360? Those two factors alone can make a huge difference. 3.55's are not really what you want for times in that area, unless you are running incredibly small diameter tires.

you can see the cars and spec's at vf valiant specifications in google search bar.both cars vf valiants ,360 was 4 door sedan ,mine is a utility,both diffs the same borg warners(you guys might know them as 9 bolts?)old mates with the 360 has 3.55.1, 25 spline mini spool locker his tyres were 215x70x14.i don't know the weight of 360, kerb weight of my utility is 3000lbs(1361kgs) with 318 & 904 tf.the reason for those gears & tyres over here we drive so far ,on most saterday nights we drive up to 80kms each way + a few races . 3.9 or higher a just 4 the drag strip.
