Hi, I have a 360 Small Block Mopar with a weiand Tunnel Ram with two Holly Double Pumpers. The car goes like a bat out of hell once rolling but bogs heavily on the line.

Any pointers please?

 

Finally go an ID on the carbs, they are 4224's with machined horns, 660 cfm each with 50cc accel's and 76 main jets.

What we did find on disassembly was that one jet had become unscrewed and was sitting in the float bowl -doffo wasnt helping!!!!

Stall speed is 3200 so in a light car the stall comes down to 1600 which is about what we are launching at.

Tranny is 727 with reverse pattern shift, no translock

 

Seemed to have cured the bogging, the car ran a 1.4 60ft, 100.44 at the 1/8 then seems to run out of fuel shortly after. Fuel pressure was OK before at 5psi probably low, needs to be between 6 & 7psi so will ramp it up for the next runs.

 

 

The car is stripped down now, gettingready for the new chassis, we are going to pretty up the engine so it will look really smart. Will post up some pics when its all done.
