440 cam question

putting a 440 in my 2002 dodge ram 4x4. does the weight of the truck and tire size affect the size of a stall converter i will need? i am trying to find a cam that will talk to me but i am on a tight budget these days. Summit said teh Comp 270H cam is the biggest cam i can use teh stock converter but he thought i might be able to get away with the 280H cam.
any advice would be appreciated.

I am no cam expert in anyway. But I would recommend checking out Iskendarian Cams. They have a fair selection themselves, and all that I have ran work excellent. For help in deciding I usually ask them directly, and they are usually very good about answering questions, along with adding any helpfull hints.
