73 charger front end swap to 72?
Hey guys,
So I still have to get my car running and painted before i even attempt this, but for future reference, will the 71/72 bumper, grill and headlights fit easily on a 73? I have a 73 bumper in good shape but cant stand the bumperettes. I would like to give it a 71/72 bumper with hideaway headlights. Is this fairly easy or worth it? Thanks
Tim

They should. I have a 71 rear bumper that I plan on using on my 74, one of these days ... just check the bracket mounting hole position.
Back in the 80's the vacuum operated hide-away head lights were prone to failure, unless you REALLY want them, I'd pass. So that's your call.
By "bumperettes", I assume you mean the bumper guards? Let me tell ya a little story ... When I got my Charger back on the road, my mechanics kept telling me loose the bumper guards to make it look more like a muscle car. I was starting to agree. One day while stopped at a traffic light (on the way to the mechanic), some idiot decided to rear end me. It was a very light touch and no damage, but without the guards. there'd at least be scratches. I'm gonna keep them on.
