Belt Popping Off?

Very strange. My A/C belt broke, and I replaced it with another one. The one I replaced it with popped off, but is still fully intact. HUH?

No! Ice cold one minute, throwing belts the next!

The pulleys, and the water pump hare free of play, too. Werid.

Was it a new belt ? Lay the belt on a flat surface and see if there is a slight twist in it. If it looks good check all the pulleys for dents or bends in the groove.

I just put it back on, and when i turned the air on, the belt flipped over. The part that would normally be touching the groove in the pulley was now facing out. I'm gonna try a new belt.....

Air conditioning is so over rated anyways. Toughen up and go without for a few days. Sounds like the heat wave we are having is here till the next week.
