Break Pads

I am looking to buy some new break pads for my scout and have found that there are several types of materials available. There are two types that keep appearing between manufactures. Organic, and semi metallic, Whats the difference, or more importantly what would be better?

The real pain is this problem appeared a day after I place another order for parts. They just want me to spend more money for shipping.

organics dont last as long, but are easier of your rotors, semi metalics last longer less brake dust but put more wear on the rotors,

If you have the option go for ceramic, a little more spendy but better than organic and not as harsh as semi metalic.
