Distributor problem
Distributor problem
I was resetting the timing on a 383 with electronic update. I put this electronic ignition in about 13 years ago. Do not remember what manufacture or model. It was for a 383
I advanced it quite a distance and heard a funny noise like a spring or cog breaking.
Now I cannot get the timing to advance on full acceleration.
Is this fixable or would I be better off to get another distributor?
I have the box and I am sure that is working or it would not run at all.
There are so many distributors on the market I do not know what one will work with the red box. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sorry about the delay. I have to borrow a timing light. Will do it soon.
My next question would be should I buy a new distributor and what to buy. I have the red box for mopar. Can I just buy a distributor and connect it to the electronic box? What to buy. Not interested in hi tech. Just something to make the timing to advance on demand.
Thanks
