It would be helpful if you'd post a link as to where "the" is.

So far as the same? Well, here again, depends on who's selling it. But if it's a "stroker" then that means that the stroke must be longer (stroked) than a stock 440

The word "crate" is slang, which has become to mean a new--NOT REBUILT engine, 'generally' fairly complete, in some cases even coming with an intake manifold, but generally not coming with things like exhaust, alternator, and brackets.

The whole problem is, that the word "crate" means different things, and is not well defined.

I BELIEVE, but I'm not certain, that the first so called "crate" engines were Chevys being sold directly through GM

When you say "are they the same" if you mean "Do they mount in the same place as the original?"

Yes

If you mean "will they make more power?"

Probably

If you mean "will they use more fuel?"

Maybe, maybe not

The questions you should be asking are of the people who supply it, and do some research as to what the company's reputation and quality is.
