dodge 440 ?
is the Dodge 500 Stroker (440) Charger Big Block Crate Engine the same as a regular dodge 7.2L 440 ? taking into consideration that the hp is most likely different. are they both 7.2L ? im just confused about the stroker and crate part in the name? Does stroker and crate mean they pump more fuel ?
my main question is how does the stroker crate differ from the reg 440 ??

So far as the same? Well, here again, depends on who's selling it. But if it's a "stroker" then that means that the stroke must be longer (stroked) than a stock 440
The word "crate" is slang, which has become to mean a new--NOT REBUILT engine, 'generally' fairly complete, in some cases even coming with an intake manifold, but generally not coming with things like exhaust, alternator, and brackets.
The whole problem is, that the word "crate" means different things, and is not well defined.
I BELIEVE, but I'm not certain, that the first so called "crate" engines were Chevys being sold directly through GM

The questions you should be asking are of the people who supply it, and do some research as to what the company's reputation and quality is.
