Hello I have a 2003 durango. Ocasionally at cruise on the freeway and at idle the RPM revs up to no higher than 2300 then drops back to normal. It will do this sometimes for minutes and other times for seconds. Anyone have any ideas on what the problem is.

For any of you that may have this same problem the fix is the Throttle Positioning Sensor. I got the answer by further research and replacing the part.
