Maintenance on a 1965 imperial crown

All,

Im potentially in the market for a 1965 imperial crown being sold in my area. I was wondering, what are the sizes of the radial tires? Any good electronic ignition, disc brake and fuel injection conversion kit? What about the right types of oil, transmission and radiator fluids? Also, the car is all original with the original 413 cc engine (6.8 liter) and has the torqueflite gearbox. It has about 76k miles on it and was wondering how many more it could do? As for the carb, what's the code for a crater abs or edelbrock AVS 4 barrel if I swap out the original carb for it?as for spark plugs, what aftermarket lifelong plugs are available? And lastly for belts, how many mile intervals should I change the serpentine belt? Thank you mopar forums for helping me possibly get one step closed to buying my dream car.

413s are great engines. Asking how long it will last is like asking when a person's heart will stop. It all depends on the overall care of the engine. 150k or more is certainly foreseeable. My choice of oils would be Quaker State 10w40 All Mileage. It has super wear tests over 1200000 PSI. It's a conventional oil, not synthetic which should be avoided in older engines that haven't been rebuilt. The transmission should use Mobil 1 ATF for "MULTI VEHICLES". this stuff carries super wear protection. Caution.....No worries.....If you change the fluid and it becomes sluggish not going into gear and becomes discolored, it creates a varnish that can be removed by changing the ATF again. The antifreeze which was the green stuff should be changed every 2 years. 50/50 mix and never add tap water only distilled which has no minerals which cause rust. I use Champion J12Ys in my 68 383. Mopar boys knew Champion worked the best. Autolite is a good choice too. Your AVS is a great running carb. Rebuild it or find a replacement would be my choice. Enjoy!!
