Need higher gearing

I have a Dana 60 with 4.10-1 gears, and i would like to know what would be the easiest way to get better highway driving gears? Thank you!

You can swap out the ring and pinion for a set of 3.73 or 3.54 gears or swap to another Dana 60 axle that already has those gears in it. You can not go any lower than that though due to design unless you swapped out the entire axle for a Dana 61.

3.73 gears are somewhat common through Dodge, Ch*vy and F*rd trucks. 3.54 gears are mostly found in F*rd trucks.

3.54 gears were standard on 4-speed hemi and 440 cars from 66-71 i believe

Only thing I am unsure of is the pumkins the same on a car D60/9.75 and truck D60? I know that a low pinion dana 60 from any truck will fit into another low pinion dana 60.

Your gonna have around 7 bills in a re-gear approach, gears, bearing and seal kit, then doing it. Is it a heavy puller, can you put a dana 44 in it out of a few years newer truck? Or Id get another dana 60 from a J yard, id say thats cheaper then doing a re-gear.
