Radiator Choices
As you can see from the photo I need a new radiator for Old Red. After a lot of searching I've found what I'm looking for but in different choices for materials: Aluminum or Brass. I've always had a brass radiator and except for the fins rotting out I've never had much trouble with them. I have no experience with aluminum radiators at all but they are less expensive. My question is will they be able to take the beatings that I know the brass ones can? Old Red will eventually be going back to Vermont where it will once again deal with salted roads in the winter. Based on what I've seen with other aluminum parts, salt is pretty rough with it. Will an aluminum radiator stand up as well as brass?
