Roll Bar Recommendation

I going to need to install a roll bar (8 point) in my '68 Charger. Any recommendations or experience with any of the kits available out there (Summit, Rhodes, Jegs, Comp Engineering, etc,)?

Many companies make kits with same size tubing for all parts of the cage, and some suggest thicker than .120" wall (nhra min. .118"). I would look at nhra rules because main is 1 5/8", rear bars are 1 1/2" and back bar 1 1/4" rather than all 1 3/4" for 6 point and same size bars added to make it 8 or 10 point.

I say this not to save weight but cutting and notching thicker wall 1 3/4" is a lot more work than apiece of 1 1/4" or 1 1/2".

Look for a supplier's custom kit form and order to nhra spec which will save you work and space in the car.
