I have a 55 plymouth belvedere that i have installed a small block V8 and have bought a mini starter to save room but my steering box still hits it.
Any thoughts on a remedy?

You will have to move your small block and trans over, to move steering your opening a big can of worms. You could look and see if someone makes a rack and pion setup for it or fab it yourself.

Most of the time if you take careful measurements you will find the stock location is
offset approx 1" to the right... Kind of balances the weight
