transmision slips

transmision slips

hi wondering why my transmision slips when running for a few minutes but shut it off restart shifts fine for 5 minutes wierd any help would be appreciated thx

the fluid at the right level hot?, does it smell burnt? has it had a service in the last 10 years .... just shooting in the dark here - what trans is it by the way?

68 charger with 73 318 904 trans neutral switch is also not working thx

From: couer d' alene id.
motor oil will swell those seals right up and it will quit slipping! also burn your tranny up in a few thousand miles.. but it wont slip!!
