What is this??
About a week ago my battery stopped charging. Replaced the alternator, checked the points on the regulator, cleaned everything up, and my grounds are good. this component lies between the voltage regulator and my battery. I think i might have screwed my regulator when fixin' it though, there are what look like 2 resistors underneath it, little wires wrapped around some paper or cotton (as it turns out, i though it was more spring like, and took a wire brush to it) there is still copper running though it, just not as much or as tight as it was.

LOL!!!
Yeah, the good ol' starter relay. I have always like the option of using a screw driver accross the big red and brown wires to start the car when working it. Or turn it over to find TDC.
I wonder if the washer pump would squirt when doing that?
