A very common problem with those is the ignition switch goes bad....

Does anybody think the cam position sensor might be bad? I really know, but would like to try a couple of things before I buy a pcm. Thanks

The only code said pcm short to ground. That was the only code. I just ran through a lot of water when it flooded around here. The truck never stalled and run good after that. Then went to start it and would not start. Checked the connections on pcm. Nothing corroded or off. After I replaced the crank position sensor it ran two different times, but I did not drive it.. The next day it would not start. Replaced the crank sensor again and it has tried to start twice, but did not start. HELP PLEASE!

Make sure the fuses are not blown in the distribution block... Check the fuses that are a little hard to get too.. The one under the Black fuse tab... The yellows are the ABS and SSR and should not affect the running part at the moment.

Some times you try to pull codes and a bunch come up... Check the fuses that I just talked about...
Sounds to me like you have no communication to the PCM...

Just my 2 cents..

What is the black fuse tab and where is it located? Is that the fuse block under the hood? Thanks again racer hog because I don't know where to go from here. I would hate to take it to the dealer.

Yes located under the hood... The big black box with all the fuses....
I know how you feel about taking it to the dealer... But when you start looking at the big dollar items... Some times, its better... The Dealer scan tools (DBR) are very pricey when you are trying to fix you own unit.
