Wiring in new distributor

So I am finally getting around to installing my new electronic ignition conversion distributor with the mopar ecu. I am having a struggle with the wiring and the guys at mancini are having trouble with it too.

My starter relay only has 4 posts not the 5 like the ones in the instructions. The one side for ignition goes to the "In" on the resistor and ties to the Blue/yellow wire from the ECU. where does the other side of the resistor go? just to "+" on the coil? or does it go to there and to the middle "start" post on my relay also?

my relay is this one. http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/Mzc1WDUwMA==/z/nP8AAOxycD9TVl3W/$_3.JPG?set_id=2

Thanks,

Gary

I disconnected the yellow and just left the resistor tied to + and it seems to work. Is there an issue leaving it this way?

Thanks.

Should be... Just means you might not get a full 12 Volts when you are in the cranking position... But should be ok...

I have a 67 Dodge Coronet with a 383 and points distributor. I'm converting it to Chrysler electronic distributor with Chrysler ECU. I seem to recall reading somewhere that you need to change the alternator and voltage regulator to a newer style like 72/73 that came with electronic ignition. Is this correct?
