1954 Plymouth Belvedere carb rebuild

Just got the carburetor rebuilt and what a difference! The engine is the 230 ci flat head six with automatic transmission. I used to say the car would do 0 - 60 mph in about five minutes. Now it has some git up and go. It also shifts from first to second a lot smoother. The accelerator pump was pretty well shot and a small pin in the automatic choke had fallen out. There was a lot of gunk in the bowl of the carburetor.Car is running great now.

i had a 1957 dodge puck up with an engine like that one. i built a carb adapter and put a Carter WDG 2bbl on it. all most like adding an other engine.. an old roundy round racer showed me how to make the adapter. the Carter 2 BBL was off a Kaser . that was a Continental Red Seal engine.
