1969 Hemi Super Bee vent fuel leak

I have a nice 69 Hemi Bee that spits fuel out of vent tube above rear axle. Being a real Hemi car it has the vapor return line coming from the vapor canister/filter by fuel pump. It also has two little vent tubes on top front of tank--one goes to line inside trunk and is OPEN and one goes up to an S shaped piece of tubing that is hooked to crossmember. The gas comes out of the S shaped one???? Can't drive car for fear of fire--Help Please????????????

have you inspected the inside of the tank? seems like there would be some kind of baffle or valve or something either on the line or on the inside of the tank. (I am not the expert to ask on this. You need to find a factory service manual. It should show how it is set up)

Hey Rene. Mine is a 1970 and the one closest to the center goes to the back of the tank, the one toward the outside goes in about two inches only. Both are open ended and turn neither up or down.
I've heard alot having the same problem and many wondering why it does it after many years of resto and all new parts when it didn't do it when new.
One fella had a interesting theory about the new gas having greater expansion and vapour release with temp changes especially when you fill up with cold gas out of the ground. Made me go Hmmmm.

Thanks so much for your time--talking with guy from Maine and he thinks one carb is not working or fuel seporator is plugged?????????? I'm on that next. Already blew through all lines and changed fuel tank.. The guy from Maine is thinking that I'm not using enough fuel, but the damn car seems strong. I sure hope the hell he is right. Thanks, Sincerely, Rene'
