Cordoba is a heavy car ! You probably have a thermoquad carb ? If it is working it is fine. With stock gearing 2.91- 3.21 ? Just a good set of dual exhaust Very mild cam will help . IF you are going to put 3.91 gears or ? that will change everything

how about this: Summit racing Part #SUM-K50052.
...summit cams kits are actually very good quality, made for them by melling, and you cant beat the price $145 for the cam and lifter kit. This cam is .454 lift.
this would give the Cordoba plenty of grunt and some top end.

I think you would get by with some new springs. Should have no problems with coil bind or piston to vavle. stock 360 pistons were down in the hole If you were worried just drop down to the next size smaller. I think it is a .440 lift. thats what I got in my "truck" motor.
