318 Headers question

Looking to put headers on a 1967 318 LA Block with with a 727 transmission. I heard that your headers should be built for your engine/transmission combination. Any advice? Anyone know of a good set of headers. These will be going into a 1967 Plymouth Fury III, which is an A Body I believe. Thanks!

Fury is not an A body, it's a C body. Headers must be ordered for engine AND body combo. I can never remember if 67's came with LA or only Poly that year. But that doesn't mean that one of the header makers doesn't make a combo.

What did you find out. I just ordered a set of HedmAns from Jegs that they cross referenced to fit my 67 furyIII 4 dr sedan, c-body but they do not fit. They cross referenced part #78050 Hedmans to fit a coronet and said they would also fit mine but no luck. Does anyone have any advice other than I shouldn't have bought a c body?

Hooker used to be the only ones with a C-body listing but, that was 25yrs ago....

TTI is the place now for a Fury! They're in Corona, CA and their website is easy to navigate.

Bremereric added the link above....

Didnt do any real heavy digging but the c body is not listed... Not to say that maybe a f or m body header wouldnt work. The only c body listed is the 65-66 with the poly 318. Think that was the last year but I'm no mopar expert either...

But back to O.P.'s question, The hedman header part no. that he got from Jegs is the same one listed on hedmans website. They dont list the Fury, listed the barracuda, belvedere, satellite, and valiant. Hooker doesnt list them either.

You're right. I've been looking, also. They both have a listing for a big block but, no listing for a small block.
A or B-body headers will not work on a C-body but, we already know this!
