I new to this forum and am looking for answers for a good friend.
He just restored a 1962 Polara 500. He also is switching out the engine and installing a 413 Max wedge.
Does anyone know where we can find the decals for the valve covers?
Are the push rods for the 413 special for the Max Wedge or can one use regular 413 push rods?
Thank you in advance.
Johnny T in Cali We need these valve cover decals.
I believe the Max Wedge was a solid lifter cam and the standard 413 was a hydraulic cam so there was two different rockers required and I sure two different pushrods required . The best way is to install the heads and rockers then Measure from the lifter to the rocker for proper pushrods. You can then order the proper length and diameter.
But the Max Wedge was a mechanical cam, adjustable rocker, solid lifter combination.
i might try ebay, too. sounds obvious, i guess, but i thought i'd throw it out there. i've found hard-to-get decals for my harley there, as well as other random ones along the way (bmx and other deals).
