440 exhaust headers

440 exhaust headers
Can anyone recommend a good pair of exhaust headers for a 440 to fit in a 67 dodge charger? I've looked at a ton and have no idea whats a solid product or what is the price range to look for or avoid. Any suggestions??

TTI make nice headers. I personally run Hooker Super Comps on my 69 Charger. Keep in mind that you can get good headers, and you can get cheap headers, but you can't get good cheap headers. I love my Hookers, but I paid like $750 for them (coated). Probably the last pair I'll have to buy though.

4spd,
Thanks for the info. I don't know if $750 is in my budget right now thats a lot of money. I understand what your saying about spending the money on good headers, I was hoping to stay around that $350-$400 range. But even then I don't know enough about headers and engines to know which is the best at the price range.

I have a good cheep set of headers on my car, pick them up at a swap meet years ago for twenty-five bucks all hammered in the bottom corners to clear stearing arms work great no leeks. BUT THESE ARE WORDS FROM A CHEEP OLD MAN

Not sure if this helps but I bought the ceramic coated summit brand for my b-body and they fit great with no modification, HOWEVER its a small block but the quality of te header was great! my father inlaw has run two different headers on his charger(440)-first was hooker had some dents and some swear words but they did the job, switched to dougs and he is happy fit good no leaks and looks nice too.-LONG story short buy the good ones or dont complain about the headaches of the cheap ones theres a reason why they cost more but its up to you if there worth the extra money or worth the extra hassle installing them--ALSO a $50 starter for a 95 dakota will work as a cheap alternative to buying a mini starter for clearence with the headers if you dont already have one.
