440 six pack question

I have a complete 1970 engine I bought for a rebuild. I have yet to decide if I want to built a 6 pack. Just wondering the additional cost(I figured around $2500) and what a good setup to build around a 6 pack would be. Ratio? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thank u

Kinda depends on what you want to do with the car.
For a restoration or pure visual appeal, it's hard to beat a proper 6V set up.

For performance and drive-ability, might not be the best thing going.
In most cases using the RIGHT 4V induction system for the application will will be more cost effective (in all regards) and stronger running.

Doesn't mean you can't make a 6V perform, just more time and effort and less bang for the buck.

I have a 440 six-pack just remember you are putting out 1350 cfm I had to raise the
compression to 11.1 port the heads and put a 509 purple cam to get all that fuel to
respond to the carbs with some 391 gears to make it real reponsefull. Before being
all stock with the six-pack it seems like it would want to fall on its face at lower
rpms with 323 gears.

Nah, just read this several times and you can make the 6bbl bake em or dead hook launch without bog with any gear ratio or car weight!

I have done many, and it just takes a lot of attention to the details and diligence!
