440 six pack tuning/help

My buddy and I are new to 440 six pack engine build, doing our first one and we would just like some advice/ help with the tuning of the carbs. Would it be wise to purchase the billet metering plates for the outboard carbs manufactured by Promax? Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Specs: bored 40 over, Hughes torq 2500 stall, cam with a lift of .450/.458 and duration of 268/284, and rocker arm ratio of 1.5
