5.9 magnum head crack between valves

5.9 magnum head crack between valves

can this be fixed i have a 2000 engine with air gap 670 avenger carb is it to big engine is stock are the heads cast 302 dif from308

Heads were a defective from factory in my opinion. If you have them you can get rebuilt ones from Clear Water Cylinder Head for short money. A lot cheaper than trying to repair then. I doubt they are only cracked in one spot.

302 wont fit with magnum valve train.

The carb should be fine. Will need to be tuned to your application.

302's are 318 intake runner size and 308's are 360 intake runner size.

The last 3 magnums I took apart, Jeep, Dodge truck and from some car all had the valves pounded in. Not a thing was salvageable with the head. The one block we're using with LA heads and external shaft oiling we made up.
