From: Technically Orlando, but usually when posting on the crapper.
84' d250 5.2 coolant issue

I had a massive coolant leak develop while driving and it dumped all the coolant. The radiator is original and in bad condition so I replaced it, lower radiator hose, thermostat, and upper thermostat housing. (It was naaaaaastyy) everything seemed like it was going 100% after getting everything back together and after 5 min it is pouring coolant again. Basically after it warmed up. I had the heater going as well at the same time. It does not look like it's coming from the pump, but it's hard to tell. Coolant is/was sprayed over everything from the fan. ( Actually looks like the radiator is leaking hence the reason I bought a new one but it not) any thoughts? I mean it does not 'look' like the pump but everything is soaked and it only started spraying after warming up.


Edit: radiator is a new 3 core alum.

Did you replace all the hoses, sometimes it’s time to replace all of them at time same time. You have a heater hoses at the water pump along with the upper hose. Thermostat could be leaking a freeze plug in the heads or block should be looked at,, if one is bad you can bet more are.
