AC to Non-AC Heater Hoses

Morning y'all, Disconnected & removed all the AC components. Left the in-line valve on the heater hose. Now i get hot air coming in thru vents all the time. Any type of by-pass system out there to solve the issue.
A photo would be helpful or any other method. I manually opened and closed the valve and both rides the hot air still came thru.
Thanks

Sorry, this is off topic. What did you use to replace the A/C comp pulley/s? How many grooves does your crank, water pump and alternator pulleys have?
