Question Aftermarket Air Cleaner?

Can I put an aftermarket air cleaner on my 85 chrysler 318 with the Electronic Fuel Control System on it? Theres a lot of wires and hoses coming from it, can I bypass those? I know my car still runs when I unhook one of the wires under the air cleaner that goes to the EFCS. But there are hoses that go to a mini filter in the air cleaner housing and to a filter like thing on the passenger valve cover. Other than that thats all i can think of thats hooked up.

You can dump the whole lean burn setup very easy. Look at a ready to run distributor. I did it on a 1981 Plymouth Gran Fury.
