Bare block 440

I am building a 440 for a 68 charger and i'm not sure where to start. i have a bare block. no internals. no heads. i am sending it out to get bored 30 over and then i'm going to start getting parts together to take to a motor shop. what are some decently priced parts that will get me around 500 hp.

sounds like a useful kit ?
there are a couple of rod selections u can use the classic p parts hemi rod is very good for your application "nice price"
i would stay away from aluminum rods wont get the longevity out of them like the hemi rods i would only consider these for a strip car where a few tenths can make the deference but for the street not practicable
a nice forged crank is always a good thing if u have the cha ching
dual quad intake 1100 cfm worth of carberators but the most important is the cam what cam to use what performance range do you need or want thats a good one

i prefer comp cams but have used mopar cams
comp has nice kits that make your valve train set up easier,
if you go with edel heads you wont need the kit
summit racing can get you on your way for all these parts
