Question Can i install older LA oil pan on360 Magnium engine

Hello Daryl here... still working on new 360 Magnium roller engine

Looked for after market pan eg Milodon ect... BIG $ on this budget engine.
Called round most supplier say you have to use a MAGNIUM oil pan / LA pan will not fit.
1 fellow told me a LA pan will fit this engine... BUT YOU MUST USE OLD 360 oil pan gasket set ... & then you can load LA pan onto Magnium block with this set up... apparantly there are differant oil pan gasket sets for LA engines.

Anyone done this pan swap... LA pan to new 360 Magnium engine?

Thanks to all in advance

PS: Got my water pump issue solved... older LA cover with LA pump
is on engine... THANKS TO ALL FOR THE ADVICE!

I don't have first hand experience, but have been told that indeed a 360LA pan will fit a 5.2/ 5.9 Magnum. I'm not sure, though, which gasket you would need. I don't use the rubber seals on the ends of my LA engines anyway---just bet them incredibly clean and dry, and silicone them.

You must use a 360 gasket on a 360. You must use a 360 oil pan on a 360. Mancini Racing has new 360 steel pans for your need.
