changing 318 pumps, pulleys, from 68 to 70īs.

Well, I am in the rebuilding process of a 1968 318 for my coronet SW, and in some point I noticed that my power steering pump (is a TRW) was leaking and I decided to bought one rebuild core, unfortunately I canīt find anyone, the only available was the federal pump. At this time I see that the brackets are different, I bought a new brackets for the 1970 model, and I read that I need to change the water pump and the alternator brackets for the 1970 model too. I did it all Water pump, Alternator brackets, pump brackets all for the post 1970 model and..... I canīt align the pulleys. I have to change the pulleys? I know that the water pump pulley is diferent in 1970 model but the damper pulley? or the damper? I see that the damper and the pulleys are too inside. I donīt know what to do. The mechanic says that he will put a spacer, This is a good idea? Thanks for your answers

No I donīt change the crank ( I assume is the damper) pulley, I donīt know if it change too in 1970. I only see in ebay water pump pulley for 1970, but no the crank pulley. May I need to do another searching.
