Chrysler '95 ECU, engine computer, ignition glitching
I got some intermittent problems with with my Chrysler Cirrus '95, V6. The ignition signal from the engine computer (ECU) to the distributor seem to be glitching and causing the engine to hiccup. This happens only when the ECU gets hot. Friend of mine speculated that this is a faulty electrolytic capacitor in the ECU. There are 3 of them visible under the semitransparent potting gel. Does anyone know which one (of the three) is connected to the ignition circuit in the ECU? I believe that similar ECUs were used in Clouds, Neons and minivans in 1994-2000.

the dist coil can be tested by measuring the OHM. an other way i figured out. use an anlog meter. set the meter to the lowest A / C setting. put the meter probes in the wires coming from the dist, order is not important. the spin the dist. the meter should show movement if dist is good. you can even have the dist out of the engine. the meter may not move much.
