Converting from Points to Electronic

My 64 sport fury has a 69 440 in it and I want to convert the old points over to electronic. Thought? Experience? Recommendations?

Has anyone done it and how hard is it? Looking for the best way and how it's done...

Mike -

Pretty much.
Either the Mopar or IIRC Pertronix converstion kit is fine.

I use the Mopar, with a upgraded box.

the best hint for electronic ignition. ALWAYS carry two spare ballast resisters in the glove box. they tend to go out in the heat or cold. the first "no start" just swap the ballast out first.

Last month I installed a Fire Core capacitive discharge distributor on my big block. Only three wires, no ballast resistor in the system and looks exactly like an OEM dizzy. This is a good alternative to ignition boxes because of the cost and performance. Interface this with a MSD Blaster or SS electronic coil and your good to go at any rpm and you can lose the ballast resistor.
