I just picked up a 68 charger and been playing around with the carb. its got a demon 650 on it. Looking at the vacuum pod I noticed that the rod that comes out of it has been disconnected. I realize this opens the secondaries, but is it possible the previous owner hooked it up mechanically?. How can I tell, and can I just hook this rod back up without worrying bout anything,

operate the throttle with the motor off. Otherwise just hook it up. Maybe just the clip failed..
