have a question about a 340 6 pack

i have a engine with a casting number of 3577130.ta.340.4
it came frome my fathers aar cuda he bought new and shortly after had a electrical fire and burnt up........... the motor did survive the carbs did melt down but the base of the carbs is there with the butterflies in them intake was not hurt.
i havent taken it apart dont know what the internals are like dont want to turn the motor with the fear of what it may do to the cylnder walls.
my question is what would a person say its worth trying to put the right price on it. im having to come up with money for my fathers estate

Most likely the motor is frozen and will need a rebore and complete re build. The fire chemicals are very corrosive

Understand what you are saying, but the only value it MAY HAVE, in the unknown condition it is in, is what someone would be willing to pay for a maybe usable core for a DATE CODE resto. It wouldnt actually be a no's matching type resto, but a no's CORRECT one. As is in the condition its in its NOT worth the 2500 or even close. The most valuable part of it is the intake and thats it. Unless you have the air cleaner assy , usable lnkages etc, its probably worth by itself 4-600 range on a good day. Doubt anyone would give the 600 for the whole engine in un touched condition. (ie not knowing if its froze etc)

MHO.
