help decoding my 318

hey all

ive looked all over the web to decode what i think is a 318 i bought my b body from a museum in the uk the owner just had her imported but never registered etc. the car was from mexico still has Mexican plates i believe it was assembled in mexico (has a small plate next to the battery reading something about negative battery terminal in Spanish?, the cars had a hard life in the wrong hands at some point due to half of the work done on it lol as you would notice the charger like fuel filler fitted in the photo....

anyhow to my main point ive been through all sorts of decoding mopar engine websites but still a little confused

so far what i have found:

-2bbl
-100% the engine is not original to the car
-it has 318 stamped under the drivers head
-date stamp 15.5.73 so 1973 engine
-727 transmission
-engine has a front sump with the drain plug at the front of the sump also were the drain plug is a square has been cut out of the front subframe to access the drain plug
-drivers side of the engine block near the date stamp under the head just above the starter all i found was this number C30618 if that makes sense to anyone
-passenger side of the engine nothing but a clock of what shift it was built on

another strange thing is the engine mounts have been cut and shaped to fit the engine and bolt to the car?? very bad job

i couldnt find a vin number all i found is a small plate riveted to the door shut of the drivers door under the top door hinge it reads

LA904604
LA9104604

i will get some photos up when i get in from work when i can to show what my issues are im sure someone will be more clued up then i am yet on mopars

any help appreciated

many thanks in advance!

zack

Glad to have you here. I got a full manual for my 1970 from these people.

Won't decode but would help, they may find a more specific one if you contact them.
I live near and work in London Ontario.

I don't know how you are doing pictures but all I see is a red X? Try this for a little picture help.

It just a 318 built in 5-3-73, probably out of a truck because of the front sump oil pan. They cut the front of the K-frame to clearance the oil pan.
