help identify this 5.9L 360

I'm new to mopar and I've recently bought a 93 dakota swapped with a 5.9l 360...I looked on the block for the s/n but the number I seen didn't match what I was supposed to look for...supposedly its a crate engine but I'd like to know for sure for parts etc...thanks in advance

yes its a crate engine from mopar performance. Not sure where that sticker is as I can't make heads or tails of the place or if the picture is upside down.

Usually there is stampings under the drivers side cylinder head on the front of the block.

The first pic is from the block to the bellhousing...second pic is under the cylinder head that's why I was stumped...

The two crate roller motors, 300HP and 380HP are both truck motors directly from the assembly line. The 300 HP is the entire truck long block with different intake, carb and distributer. Stock had 250 HP due to exhaust manifolds and horrible fuel / timing curve thru a crappy intake.

The 380 has a different cam, springs, intake and distributer. Same truck rotaing assembly. Basically same long block with cam swap.

Block, lifters, valves, rockers, rings, pistons, rods, crank, oil pump, timing chain, bearings etc.. are all OEM production truck.

Pull a valve cover when warm and using a dial micrometer measure the lift at rocker. 300HP has .43 while the 380HP had .501.

the intakes are same for all magnums. You can use any LA manifold but would need to re drill and tig up the holes.

If the ecu is working use the sct tuners to reprogram. Any tuner can get you going. You will need the ECU number to code in the sct before they ship it.
