Holley Dominator up or down ?

I have a Holley dominator 1050 8896-1;which is thought to be running lean. It has 88 squared main jets and 40 high speed air bleeds. Does anyone have a recommendation on how best to obtain desired setting? I know going down in high speed bleeds makes it richer and going up in main jets has that same effect. But which do I do? Some say 88 mains should be plenty & to go down to 36 or 34 on the bleeds. The power valves are blocked and the mains were not changed. It runs good on a 440 ,700 h.p. drag car. Just afraid on the lean issue. Thanks

Main Jets are the main adjustment....
Air bleeds are for fine tuning......

88 Jets are the out of the box setting for that carb....
If you think it is lean ?? I would raise it up 4 jet sizes and give it a plug check after a few passes...

If you have something that is running a dominator, you should be able to afford a wideband setup, and you should have one.

Found that the intake wasn't sealed. Now when it goes back together ,we will see it may have not been the carb. at all. Looking into purchasing a wideband a/f system. Sounds like a good deal.

Glad you found something as in the problem...
Wide Band is a great tuning tool....
