Hooker or Clifford for the /6 225???

Headers:
the cliffords are 16 gauge tubes 1 1/2" o.d and 2 1/2" collector
and the hookers are 18 gauge 1 5/8" and 2 1/2" collector
dont know if that makes a difference or not
clifford was 359.00 and hookers 469.95
Or..... should i keep the stocks :/
dont know if the price is worth the performance difference
i just bought a offy intake and a edlebrock 500cfm 4bbl avs carb to upgrade from the small single bbl holly
also thinking of getting 2 flowmaster 40 series mufflers and possibly a cam i dont know yet :/

The story behind this is:
My grandfather had a 70 duster 340 with the floor shifter a long time ago. i lost him 2 years ago to cancer but i asked him what was his favorite car he ever owned before he passed and he told me about his duster so im trying to clone the look of his in commemoration for him. so its going to be more body work than motor its just a crusier car for me but i dont want it to be a granny lol

I say go with Clifford, they have been doing slanty parts at least as long as I have owned Mopars, 32+ years. I had one of their 4 bbl setups on a slanty years ago, and that thing was sweet!

sounds good im going to try to order them today....

should i order a x pipe to or is that just not worth it?
i think its $90

i want to get the flow master 40 series and dual exhaust and hopefully have it come out right infront of the rear tires with slanted tips i think that would look good

what do you think?

The x-over pipe helps to balance out the preassures between the headers, I'd do it. Have the exhaust dump out in front of the rear tires has always been a cool setup in my book, especially when all you see is ~1" of the tailpipe.

Unless you plan on building a full out race motor with that /6, i think the X pipe is just overkill it will be quite cramped under the car with the right side pipe having to cross over behind the trans pan ( any further forward makes the bend too tight), and your plan to exit short of the rear wheel, i don't see where it will fit well. When I did mine, all my pipes were 2" and all were custom bent on the car and there was little room to play after the mufflers were installed and mine went to the back of the car. I think I might have a pic around somewhere.

no not going full race just trying to get the best bang for my buck and put in the upgrades i can afford that can make a difference so i figured an extra 100 if it was worth it to do it now instead of later someone say..... hey why didnt you put in a x pipe it would of been way better then i look dumbfounded like .... ummmmm idunno lol
well guess ill ill do is the clifford headers if they come back in stock soon and i think it was 2 1/2 pipe duel 40 mufflers and then try to get it to come out infront of the tire if thats possible then later add a cam and hopfully that wil be enough kick for me oh and install the offy intake and edlebrock 500 cfm avs 4bbll carb upgrade from the single holly i have now

If you have some pics of yours that would be great!!!
Thanks for the feedback
