Just installed a 2" wood phenolic spacer!

Oh yeah!
I just replaced the aluminum 2" spacer with a wood-grain phenolic 2" spacer; not the plastic cheap-o one. Took me about 15 minutes; though I anticipated an hour or so. Both gaskets came right off the manifold and carb so I didn't have to do any scrapping.

Tightened down the ARP bolts and reset the carb. Car starts right up and sounds great. Anyway to check to be sure there isn't a leak between the manifold/spacer or the spacer/carb? Just want to be sure everything is right n tight.

Thanks!

No whistling noise from that area and your fine. Spray some water or wd-40 around that area and if the motor doesn't speed up then your good to go. Otherwise put a vacuum guage on it.

They generally don't leak from the get go.
The leaks start after they get soaked with fuel.

Hang on to the aluminum spacer.
