new carb for 340

I'm rebuilding my 1972 mopar 340. it has a edlebrock 4 barrel intake. I currently have no carburetor for it and I'm in need of a cheap but good carb for it. I would prefer to have a holley or edlebrock carb for it. where should I shop for a cheaper holley or edlebrock?

Most retailers are going to be pretty consistent in prices. If bucks are really tight and you don't mind doing a rebuild, check eBay, local swap meets, etc.

If the motor is pretty stock, think 600 cfm or less.

Archer.

thanks! the motor is all stock except for the heads. it has J heads which I think are better than x heads. I believe that x heads are the lowest performance stock heads but I may be wrong
