non MoPar intake manifold on MoPar SB
Hello, I'm building a MoPar Hot rod in some kinde of 50-60 style. I really should have gone with a 331 for the right aperence but I'm going with a 360 SB instead. Unfortunaly I have noticed that hot rod parts for MoPar small block engines that have that oldschool feeleing don't exist. or are VERY hard to find.
Is there some kind of adapter that alowes you to put an intake manifold made for any other make on youre Mopar SB? I would really like to have som kind of multipple 2bbl intake. I know there are the six pack, but it is often very exensive and if I'm decide to go stomberg on the carburator side it wont do.

The thing is, when most of the old school manifolds were being made, they weren't made "for looks," but rather people trying for more power. The same is true today. The reason most intakes are made for one big 4bbl, is that is where performance is, unless you have a BIG engine that can support a tunnel ram and bigger carbs
And back then, high flow carbs did not exist, hence experiments with six or eight 2bbls, etc. Even Chrysler experimented with a cross--ram with FOUR Carter 4bbls on it
I believe I saw somewhere that someone makes a SB manifold for 2BBL webers, but I bet it ain' cheap.
Only other thing would be to round up an earlier inline 2x4 (dual quad)
You might investigate "partially" making one. Some of the tunnel rams (the tall style, you'll never find a cross ram cheap) unbolt, leaving the bottom part of the manifolt.
Maybe you could mill it down shorter, or leave it as is, and build yourself a flat plate mount for 4 2bbls. Or weld up a "sheet metal top" to give you some more room
If you can weld, it is ACTUALLY CONCEIVABLE that you make a manifold from scratch.
