Oil Filter stuck

I have a 1966 Plymouth Fury III with a 318 A block, and the oil filter is literally stuck, I have tried unscrewing with my hands, a strap wrench(which when it gripped, all it did was dent in the filter more), the flat head screw driver and hammer trick, and all I have is a dented, punctured, torn-up oil filter that is still connected to my engine, does anyone have any tips, tricks, or anything to getting it off? Its also a spin on, not a canister type(I dont even know if they made a canister type for this car but I'm just covering my bases).

I'm laughing my *** off right now! Not because of your misfortune, but because this DOES happen! I have had this. I have driven a scewdriver through a filter, and STILL not been able to budge it! Yes, it WILL come off! Sorry for your misfortune. But this is a learning moment.

My neighbor across the street had the same problem on his wifes car. He tore off the complete end of the filter, all that was left was the ring and threaded part. I let him use my air chisel to hammer it off using the notches on the ring.

UPDATE:
Ive tried an air chisel, a hammer and chisel, my hands(again), bigger pliers and it still wont come off.
Re-update:
Got it off by shearing off the rest of the can and drilling two holes in what would be the top of the canister and turned it out with a himemade tool.

Man,,, I feel for you. I hate it when the easy stuff bites you. There are enough crap parts and sh%%y designs to keep us busy. Glad you got it off!
