what plugs in at the port behind the engine?
Hello, I have a 1975 440 Truck engine that is in my 1970 charger. On the back of the engine behind the carb is a slot that something plugs into. My thought is a ground but I was just wanting to know.
A. what plugs in there
and B. where does that lead to?

If it's in the manifold and fairly large bore, it's probably a vacuum port. It can go to the break power booster or the PVC valve.
Like Tim said, is should be threaded and would take a 1/4" - 3/8" fitting for the vacuum tubing.

No its not a hole. It is like the end of a cord to a plug in Like it plugs into a slot.

Can you post a picture?
If you can't try an Internet search for one that looks similar to yours and post the link.
Or you can just start the engine and see if there's a vacuum coming out of it.
