1977 727 kickdown cable

I inherited a 1968 Ford F150 with a 1977 440 W/727 transmission installed. Slowly it is going together, all the parts and pieces are in about a dozen boxes and piles. There is not a kick down cable in the transmission but I think I have found one. Is it a difficult proceedure in hooking it into the tranny while it is in the truck? How does it hook into the tranny? Thank you.

The 440 came with a mechanical rod type linkage. Locar or Boulcher performance make a nifty cable kit for the kick down. DO NOT drive it without it hooked up

Spend the money on the Bouchellon Performance one. The Lokar bracket is real flimsy. Since you have a Mopar/Ford already no need to add a Lokar chebby to it.

find a factory service manual, it will have pics of the shift linkage. its ALL ways best to do any thing on a frame,/engine like the way the factory did it. any other way is asking for trouble.
