360 balancing with converter?

i have a 74 cuda with a 360 small block and 727 trans. my question is the balancing of the rotating assembly. the engine is from 1973 and i do not think it is the original for the car, it looks to me mostly stock with the original weighted ballancer on the front. but when i looked at the torque converter i do not see any weights on it. i want to replace the torque converter with a high stall converter and i am unsure if i should replace with a weighted converter or a neutral balance converter?

Shoot us a good picture of the harmonic balancer..if the motor was apart before the machine shop could have balanced the rotating assy and put an internal balanced torque convert and harmonic balancer.

it would be hard to take a photo, and it would not show much being that it is still in the car. i felt around the back side of the balancer(motor side) and i can feel were the balancer goes in to make the off set balance.

If the balancer is carved out in the back then it is externally balanced.

Has the motor been worked on ??? Chances are it is still external balance. If the converter does not have the balance weights us a B&M flex plate with the balance built into it. Then you can use any converter
